• Reliable operation when connectivity wavers—sales can be captured locally inside an encrypted on-device vault and synced with Utumba when the network stabilises again.
• Connectivity awareness so clerks aren’t guessing why a queue stalled when the WAN drops.
• Real-time signalling over WebSockets when deployed with Utumba backends that surface live updates alongside routine HTTPS APIs used for auth and settlements.

Operational note
Staff must authenticate via Utumba-issued identities for the authorised store—the POS is intentionally not anonymous shopping checkout for the general public browsing Google Play unsolicited.
