UV Tracker turns your phone into a personal sun-safety check: today's real UV index, how much cloud is actually softening it right now, and how long your skin can safely be out — all worked out from where you are and what your skin is like.

See today's local UV index in seconds, pulled from a public weather forecast for your exact location — both the clear-sky value and what the forecast expects with today's cloud cover.

📷 Sky Scanner
Point your camera at the sky for a few seconds. UV Tracker reads the live colour of the sky to estimate real-time cloud cover and adjusts the UV index accordingly — closer to what you'd actually feel outside than a forecast alone.

🧑 Know Your Skin
Take a photo of your inner forearm in even light, or just pick your Fitzpatrick skin type from six clear options — no camera required. UV Tracker uses it to work out how vulnerable your skin is to UV, and shows exactly how that reading was measured.

⏱️ Safe Sun Time
Combine today's UV index with your skin type to see how many minutes you can be in the sun before sunburn risk sets in — framed as safe time, not a countdown to harm.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT

- Camera-based, not just a forecast lookup — Sky Scanner reads the sky you're actually standing under.
- Your camera images are analyzed entirely on your device and never leave it. No uploads, no cloud processing of your photos.
- No account required to use any core feature. Optional Google sign-in exists for people who want one; your data stays local either way.
