This application measures the angles from two points to an object and the distance between these points. Knowing this data, the application compute the distance to the object using geometric calculations. You need to measure the compass direction to the object, then the direction to the second point, walk to the second point, the pedometer will count the steps, adjust the number of steps using the "Step +" and "Step -" buttons. Then measure the direction to the object from the second point and the application will give the distance from the first point to the object.
When measuring, you need to hold the device straight without tilting or turning. To do this, pay attention to the angles of inclination and rotation, they should be about at zero and green color, then the angles will be measured more accurately.
The distance between two points from which the measurement is made should be greater if the distance to the object is large. The approximate ratio between the distance between the points and the distance to the object can be from 1:1 to 1:50. Choose a second point on the side approximately 90 degrees from the direction of the object, for more accuracy.
Do not forget to calibrate the compass before using the application.
