VA Rating Assistant helps veterans understand how the VA disability rating system works and keep their claim evidence organized in one place.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Combined rating calculator. See how VA math actually works, including how multiple ratings combine and how the bilateral factor applies. No account needed.
Rating guide. Browse conditions rated under 38 CFR, explained in plain English, plus a glossary of the terms that show up in VA letters.
Upload and organize your records. Add medical records and VA forms from your device, or scan paper documents with your camera.
See your conditions in one place. Review what was found across the documents you uploaded.
Document drafting. Start buddy statements and nexus letter drafts you can review and take to your provider.
VA forms and facilities. Browse VA forms and find VA medical centers and clinics near you.
Ask questions. A built-in assistant answers general questions about the claims process.
WORKS WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
The rating calculator, guides, VA forms directory, facilities finder and general chat are open to everyone. You only need an account to upload your records and see your own analysis.
YOUR RECORDS STAY PRIVATE
Your documents are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. Crash reporting is optional and can be turned off in Profile. You can permanently delete your account and everything in it from the Profile tab at any time, or at varatingassistant.com/delete-account.
