About this app

Learning Chinese can be tough if you get stuck on vocabulary. Easily learn many words a day and become familiar with the language—anyone can do it easily.

VAVELING is a vocabulary learning app designed for HSK exam candidates and everyone studying Chinese. Memorize words step-by-step, one day at a time, with the white-furred baby monkey, "Vav."

■ How to Study

• Once you download a daily vocabulary pack, you can study without an internet connection.

• Words are displayed large, filling the screen, with Pinyin and meanings below. Adjust font size with a single button.

• Listen to alternating male and female native pronunciations and follow the stroke order of the characters one stroke at a time.

• Listen to example sentences and repeat them to learn how words are used within sentences.

• The app automatically moves to the next word after a sound, continuing seamlessly without needing to touch anything.

■ Mark as You Memorize

• Swipe down ✓ for words you know, and swipe up ★ for difficult words to gather them for focused study. • It tracks how many times you hear each word, and a "Learning Complete" stamp is applied once you have memorized the day's worth.

• It automatically generates questions based on the words you have learned. You must answer correctly 5 times for the word to be recognized.

■ Review via Games

• Matching: Pair up Hanja cards with meaning cards.

• Connecting Lines: Connect words and meanings with lines.

■ Pointing at Books

• Pointing the camera at a textbook or menu will locate and mark the words you have saved, displaying Korean translations over each line. (Processed only within the device)

■ Home Screen Widget

• The "Word of the Day" widget displays a different word every day; tapping it takes you directly to the word's pronunciation, stroke order, and meaning.

Learning records are saved on your device, and when you log in, they are also saved to your account so you can continue studying on the app and web (vaveling.app). There are no ads or tracking SDKs.
