About this app

Box Remote Buddy turns your phone into the remote for your Android TV box: arrows, OK, Back, Home, volume, play and pause, an app list, and typing from your phone's keyboard. It works over your own Wi-Fi. When you use Get help or control your box while away from home, it connects through our secure server.

How it works
1. Install Box Remote Buddy for TV on the TV box from the Play Store and open it once. It walks you through one or two switches in the box's settings.
2. Open Box Remote Buddy on your phone, on the same Wi-Fi. It finds the box by itself.
3. The TV shows a 4-digit code the first time. Type it in the app. Done.

There is no account and no sign-in. The app sends basic usage statistics (no name, no account) so we can fix problems; nothing is sold.

Works with Android TV boxes running Android 10 and newer, including vSeeBox models. A phone cannot turn the TV itself on or off or change the TV's own volume.

Requires a one-time activation per TV box, purchased separately.

What’s new

More reliable backup remote and rescue: the phone gives Bluetooth back when you leave, a busy box no longer looks like a wrong pairing code, and error messages are easier to read.
