Transly is your realtime translator for voice and keyboard input, and a live translator for conversations, videos and app audio. Write across languages, follow speech and read translated subtitles in one Android app.
VOICE TRANSLATION ON YOUR KEYBOARD
Have a reply in mind but aren't sure how to write it in another language? Switch to the Transly keyboard in a supported app, choose your output language and tap the microphone. Speak naturally, review the translated draft and insert it into the current text field. You stay in control of what you send.
Use it to reply to a colleague, ask a host about check-in, arrange a meeting or write an email. Start with the meaning you want to express, then check the wording before sending. The keyboard helps you write across languages without repeatedly moving between your conversation and a separate translator.
TEXT TRANSLATION ON YOUR KEYBOARD
Understand the reply before you respond. Copy a message and paste it into the keyboard's reading mode to translate it into a language you know. Read the result, then switch back to voice input to compose your answer. Transly translates the text you choose to paste; it does not automatically read all your chats.
SET UP YOUR ANDROID KEYBOARD
Follow the in-app guide to enable and select Transly in Android's keyboard settings. Allow microphone access when using voice input. Keyboard availability depends on the app and text field: password fields, protected editors and some apps may restrict third-party keyboards. Check the translated text before inserting or sending it.
LIVE SPEECH TRANSLATION
Choose the spoken language and your translation language, then start the microphone. Follow a lecture, presentation or guided tour with the original text and translation. Compare both versions to understand unfamiliar expressions. Adjust the subtitle display to suit your reading preferences, and use translated speech where the selected output mode supports it.
FACE-TO-FACE CONVERSATIONS
Set a language for each person and take turns speaking with one phone. Ask for directions, order a meal, check into a hotel or explain what you need. Use short, clear sentences and confirm names, addresses, dates and numbers together.
SUBTITLES FOR SAVED VIDEOS
Select a video from your device, choose its language and watch with translated subtitles. Follow a saved course, interview or training session while comparing the original and translated text. A local video is a file you select from your device; translation still needs an internet connection. Format support and audio quality can affect the result.
AUDIO TRANSLATION ACROSS APPS
Start cross-app translation in Transly and approve Android's audio-capture prompt. Return to the app playing your content and follow the subtitles in a picture-in-picture window. Stop the translation when you finish. This feature translates permitted playback audio, not every word displayed on the screen. Protected media, calls and apps that block capture may be unavailable.
SAVE USEFUL TRANSLATIONS
Revisit supported translation records, share text or export SRT subtitles where available. Keep useful expressions for study notes or use subtitle files with compatible players and editing tools. Choose original, translated or bilingual content from the available export options.
LANGUAGES, PLANS AND PERMISSIONS
Available languages vary by feature, translation direction and spoken output. Check the choices inside each mode. Review current plans, prices, allowances and included features in the app. Manage subscriptions purchased through Google Play in Google Play; uninstalling Transly does not cancel them.
Translation requires a network connection and the permissions relevant to the feature you start. Clear audio, a suitable language selection and natural pauses help. Noise, accents, fast speech and missing context can affect accuracy. Check important information before using or sending a translation.
