Messages & SMS Launcher combines communication tools with an optional Android launcher so you can manage carrier texts and access everyday apps from one application.

The app works without an account or sign-in.

Android treats the SMS role and Home role separately, giving you control over which parts of the app you use.

MAKE IT YOUR SMS APP

Select Messages & SMS Launcher as the default SMS application when Android asks for your choice.

This enables the app to display conversations, compose and send texts, reply to contacts and deliver incoming-message notifications.

Compatible dual-SIM hardware can provide an available SIM selector for outgoing messages.

Network coverage, carrier support, message charges and successful SMS or MMS delivery are outside the app and depend on your mobile service.

MORE WAYS TO HANDLE YOUR INBOX

Search conversation text instead of scrolling through every thread.

Available categories provide another inbox view, while pinning lets you keep selected conversations prominent. Archive threads when you want them outside the main inbox and use local read/unread controls as needed.

Conversations you do not want can be manually blocked.

Recognised one-time codes may offer a copy action. This is simply a convenience for handling text received in a message and should not be treated as an authentication or financial service.

COMPOSE WITH SUPPORTED ATTACHMENTS

Select compatible images, videos or audio using Android's content picker.

A camera app can be opened to capture a new photo, and supported contact details may also be selected.

Optional location sharing uses approximate-location permission to place a map link into your draft.

Before sending, check the recipients and content you selected.

SET UP A FUTURE MESSAGE

Use scheduled messages when you want to prepare a text ahead of time.

The app keeps the pending message and attachment references locally until the scheduled action occurs. You can cancel a pending item before sending.

Exact-alarm access may be necessary on some Android versions.

The schedule can only attempt to send when the app still has the correct SMS role and permissions and the device has an available SIM and network. For this reason, exact delivery time is not guaranteed.

SAVE A LOCAL SMS COPY

Backup and restore can be opened from the Messages navigation menu.

Select a local folder through Android's picker and create a JSON backup with Backup now.

For restore, choose a compatible JSON backup, examine the message count presented by the app and confirm if you want to continue.

The feature backs up SMS text messages. It does not include MMS attachments or provide automatic scheduled backups.

Messages & SMS Launcher must be selected as the default SMS app during backup and restore.

After importing, you may continue using the app or use Android's default-app settings to select another SMS application. Imported messages already saved in Android's SMS store are not removed merely because you switch default apps.

The generated backup file is not encrypted by the application. Choose a trusted storage location.

MAKE IT YOUR HOME APP

Separately select Messages & SMS Launcher as your Home application to use its launcher interface.

Find installed apps in the drawer, manage shortcuts, keep favourites close and add compatible widgets from the built-in widget selector.

Clock and date information is included, with direct access to the inbox and message composer.

The Home role does not automatically grant or require the SMS role for simply showing the launcher.

ADS AND DATA HANDLING

The application includes advertising. Technical ad data, analytics and crash-reporting information is handled according to the app's Privacy Policy and Data safety information.

Carrier SMS and MMS are not end-to-end encrypted. Android gives you access to permission and default-app controls through system settings.
