About this app
Veloup is an app for cyclists that connects route planning with the life of your local cycling community. Plan a route, check the weather on every section of it, invite others and ride.
ROUTE PLANNING Create road, gravel and MTB routes on an interactive map with an elevation profile. Veloup automatically detects every climb on your route and shows, for each one: • length and elevation gain • average gradient • max gradient • steepest 100 metres • climb category Street View preview straight from the planning screen. Import routes from a GPX file and from Strava.
WEATHER ALONG THE WHOLE ROUTE This is not a forecast for the start point. Veloup calculates the weather separately for each section of the route — based on your departure time, your average speed and how long it takes you to reach that point. You'll see: • the temperature over the kilometres ahead • the wind, including relative to your direction of travel • rain and cloud cover • a comparison of different weather models So you know when to set off and what to expect on the way.
