About this app

LootForge is a fast, no-nonsense loot generator to use with your Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition campaign. Built for dungeon masters who want random treasure rolled in seconds, not minutes. Usable for both the 2024 rule set and the original 2014 rule set.

Pick a Challenge Rating, choose Individual Treasure or a Treasure Hoard, set your party's tier of play, and tap Generate. LootForge handles the GP and PP totals, rolls the magic items by tier and theme, picks the right rarity from the d100 table, and pulls a specific item from the 2024 DMG item lists. Copy the result to your clipboard with one tap and paste it into your VTT, notes, or session log.
KEY FEATURES
• 2024 DMG treasure tables — Individual Treasure and Treasure Hoard for CR 0–4, 5–10, 11–16, and 17+, generating coins and magic item counts the way the new DMG specifies.
• Magic items by theme — the full 2024 grid of Arcana, Armaments, Implements, and Relics across every rarity. Roll a single item, or generate a batch by party tier.
• Rarity by tier of play — magic-item rarity is rolled from the DMG's tier-based d100 table, separate from the encounter's Challenge Rating, just like the rulebook.
• Magic Item Tracker — track items awarded across your campaign by Tier of Play and rarity, against the DMG's recommended counts (the ~100 items per 20-level campaign target). The grid color-codes progress and warns when you're going over the recommended allotment for a rarity.
• Multiple campaigns — run as many as you want and switch between them instantly. Each has its own tracker, awarded-item history, and settings.
• Awarded item history — see every magic item your party has earned, grouped by session, with the option to cross items off as they're sold, lost, or destroyed and rebalance the tracker counts.
• Spells on scrolls — when a scroll comes up, LootForge rolls the spell from the appropriate class list.
• Gems and art objects — fully rolled with values, descriptions, and quantities.
• 2014 rules included — prefer the classic 2014 DMG treasure tables? Switch editions from the overflow menu at any time. 2014 mode preserves the original behavior, including the full magic item tables A through I.
• Built for the table — fast, readable, copy-and-paste-ready output. No accounts, no sign-in, no syncing to a cloud you didn't ask for. Everything stays on your device.
