Visual Interactive Communication and Reading Aid (VICARA) is a free AAC application dedicated to all people with limitations or difficulties in verbal communication. VICARA contains a collection of digital illustrated communication cards and uses Google Text to speech to generate spoken words in Indonesian and English based on the text on each card. The first version was developed in 2013 while the second version was developed in 2018. This application is VICARA version 3.0 which is the result of an interdisciplinary partnership by the London School of Public Relations (LSPR) Jakarta and ICT Watch Indonesia, in collaboration with Tarumanagara University Jakarta.
