Viciny turns curated lists of places into something that stays useful while you're actually out — not just a list you read once and forget.

Anyone can publish a list: best gas stations on your commute, favorite taco spots, must-see sights in a city, the coffee shops you actually trust. Browse the public directory, follow as many lists as you like, and open the Nearby view — it continuously shows which of your followed places are within a radius you choose, sorted by distance, updating automatically as you move. No more digging through a saved list at a stoplight.

WHY VICINY

• No account needed to browse. Explore Discover, follow lists, and use the live Nearby view right away — your follows are saved on your device. Create an account only when you want to publish or edit your own lists.

• Nearby, built for driving. Pick a radius from 500 m to 50 km with big, tap-friendly chips. Places refresh as your GPS position updates, so the list is always current for wherever you are right now. Tap any place for turn-by-turn directions in your maps app.

• Real addresses, geocoded automatically. Every place requires a full address, verified and located via OpenStreetMap — no vague pins.

• Public, unlisted, or private. Publish a list for everyone to discover, share a link without listing it publicly, or keep it just for yourself. Visibility rules are enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the interface.

• Duplicate any list you find. See a great list someone else made? Fork it into your own account and make it yours.

• Discover, organized your way. Search and filter by category — gas, food, coffee, shopping, sights, services — and sort by newest or most followed.
