Discussions allow everyone to share their point of view. Discussions are used when there are many sides on a topic. An example would be “Who’s the best player?” or “What is there to do in Paris?” Once a discussion topic has been created, people can share their Point of View (PoV) on the subject. PoVs add to the overall discussion, and allow you to see diverse perspectives. Cross-talks are public one on one conversations between two people. They can be used when you want someone to clarify a point or if you want to address something they said.
Debates allow people to choose a side to argue. Debates are when there are two defined sides for the topic. An example would be “Who’s going to win the Super Bowl?”, or “Is Paris more romantic than Venice”? Once a debate topic has been created, debaters argue one side. When arguments on both sides have been made, a Matchup is created. People can then vote on who won a matchup.
