Compress videos and photos on your phone, one at a time or in bulk, and get the file size down without making everything look ruined.
Everything runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so it works with no connection and your files never leave your phone.
WHAT IT DOES
Video compressor
Shrink large clips before you send them. Pick a compression level, see an estimated size first, and let it run. Uses your phone's own hardware encoder, so it is fast and it does not flatten your battery.
Photo compressor
Reduce image size for uploads, email, and forms. Handy when a website or application portal caps you at a specific KB limit and your camera photo is several MB.
Bulk compression
Queue several files and compress them in one go instead of repeating the same steps. Compression keeps running if you switch to another app, and a notification shows the progress.
Three simple levels
Small file, Balanced, or High quality. Each one tells you what it trades away, and there is a Custom option if you want to set resolution, bitrate, or quality yourself.
Before you commit
An estimated output size is shown before compression starts, so you can change the level if the saving is not worth it.
History
Every compressed file is listed with how much space it actually saved.
HOW IT TREATS YOUR FILES
Your original file is never touched unless you ask. Compressed copies are saved as new files in a Video Compressor album.
If you want to delete an original afterwards, there is a button for it, and Android shows you its own confirmation before anything is removed. Nothing is deleted quietly in the background.
The app does not ask for all-files access or broad photo library permissions. You choose files through Android's own picker, and it only ever sees the specific files you hand it.
SUPPORTED FILES
Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, 3GP, WEBM and other formats your device can decode. Output is MP4 (H.264) for wide compatibility.
Photo: JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC and other formats your device can decode.
Because compression uses your device's built-in encoders, the exact formats and speeds depend on your phone.
HONEST NOTES
Size estimates are approximate. The real result depends on what is in the video, and a clip that is already well compressed may barely shrink, or may come out slightly larger. When that happens the app tells you instead of inventing a saving.
Compression re-encodes the file, so some quality is lost. That is what compression is. Higher levels lose less.
PRICING
The app is ad supported. Compressor Pro is a single payment, not a subscription. It removes ads and raises the bulk limit.
