View Patta is an independent service that helps you get a Tamil Nadu land record online, without a trip to the taluk office. Search for your parcel, and we fetch the record from the Tamil Nadu government e-Services portal and hand it to you on your phone.
Records you can get, and what each one is for
• Patta and chitta — the revenue record of who owns a piece of land and how it is classified. This is the pair most people mean when they say "patta chitta," and usually the first thing to check before a purchase, sale or inheritance.
• A-Register extract — the village land register entry behind the patta, useful when you want the fuller classification and survey history the government itself holds on file.
• TSLR extract and TSLR sketch — the Town Survey Land Register, the urban counterpart to patta and chitta for property inside a town survey, plus the surveyed sketch that goes with it.
• FMB sketch — the Field Measurement Book sketch, a surveyed drawing of a parcel's boundaries and dimensions, useful when a boundary or an extent is in question.
• Encumbrance certificate (EC) — the record of every registered transaction on a property over a period you choose. Buyers and lenders commonly ask for one before a purchase or a loan.
Patta, chitta and the EC are the three documents most sale and loan checks ask for together; A-Register, TSLR and FMB sketch fill in specific gaps a lawyer, surveyor or bank may separately want covered.
How it works
1. Choose the document, then the district, taluk and village, and a survey or patta number if you have one — whichever is printed on your paper. If you only know the village name, search for it directly.
2. We check the government portal, and you can watch it happen.
3. You see what we found before you pay. If it's your record, pay and download it. If we don't find it, you pay nothing.
Coverage
All 38 districts of Tamil Nadu, every taluk, and a statewide village search, drawn from the state portal.
Information copy or certified copy
What you receive is an information copy: the same fields the government portal holds today, on your phone in minutes. That's enough to check a property before you buy it, confirm a survey number, or keep a record for yourself. It is not a certified copy. Registering a sale at the sub-registrar's office, applying for a bank loan against the property, or a pending court matter typically call for the certified version instead — that still has to come from your taluk office. When in doubt which kind an office wants, ask before you pay for either.
Paying and sharing
The price is shown before you pay. Pay by UPI, card or net banking through Razorpay. Send the document over WhatsApp, or keep it on your phone.
Your records stay in the app for 180 days, so you can come back for one whenever you need it.
