About this app
We built Lockd because we were spending way too much time on our phones. Scrolling when we didn’t mean to. Checking apps out of habit. Missing the moments right in front of us. We didn’t want to delete everything or go off the grid. We just wanted something that made it easier to disconnect.
How Lockd works:
- Select the apps that pull you in.
- Tap the Lockd Pod to block them.
- Enjoy your time without distractions chasing you.
Your apps stay locked until you choose to unlock them.
Why Lockd?

- Block what distracts you, not what you need
- Physically separate you from attention traps

Use Lockd to:
- Focus deeply at work or while studying
- Enjoy phone-free evenings or mornings
- Sleep better without endless scrolling
- Feel present at dinner, with family, or in nature
Accessibility Service Usage Disclosure
This app uses Android's AccessibilityService API exclusively to help block access to specific websites by monitoring and controlling browsing activity. The AccessibilityService allows the app to detect when a user visits a restricted website in their browser and immediately display a blocking screen.
Why AccessibilityService is Needed:
- To monitor the browser URL bar and detect restricted websites.
- To show a blocking overlay preventing access to those websites.
Privacy and User Control:
- The app does NOT collect, store, or transmit any browsing data.
- All processing happens locally on your device.
- The AccessibilityService permission is only used for website blocking.
- You have complete control and can disable this AccessibilityService at any time via device settings.
We comply fully with Google Play policies on AccessibilityServices, and provide clear, prominent disclosures and consent dialogs to keep you informed and in control.
Strict Mode Protection
Uses Android Device Administrator to prevent accidental uninstallation during active sessions.
Why needed:
- Keeps app running during focus/parental control sessions
- You can disable anytime: Settings → Security → Device admin apps
