I did not get any ads. Which is refreshing. BUT I wouldn't depend on this compass At start-up everything is ok.But if you lay your phone on a non magnetic wood table outside. The app will point North accurately. Leave the phone level and rotate it. clockwise around the center of the phone. The app will display the correct heading until it gets to 270 degrees. At that point will flip by 125 degrees to 145 degrees heading. It will stay in error by 125 degrees until you shut down the app.

Extremely Inaccurate. Do not trust this compass at all. if you need to find a bearing or you're just curious about a direction, this compass will let you down. it doesn't even remotely point North and it will show you something different each time you open up the app. If this was needed in an emergency, this would likely get you into more trouble than it would help.

As I can't respond without deleting my original review, that's what I did. My issue isn't that this app has ads. That is a given and how free apps stay free. it is the implementation of those ads. 3 full screen timed ads before I can even get into the app is excessive. One was to buy the app, one was for the app I was in, and the last was a loud tictok video ad. There are far less intrusive and angering ways to display ads. The ads themselves aren't the issue.
