About this game

Vietnamese Xiangqi – an offline Xiangqi (Chinese chess) app, no login required, no internet connection needed.

🎮 2 GAME MODES
• Player vs. Computer: Choose to play as Red or Black, select difficulty level (Easy/Medium/Hard), with a "Rewind" button if you change your mind.

• Computer Autoplay: Watch the computer play against you, you can pause and adjust the thinking speed.

♟️ COMPLETE AND ACCURATE RULES
Generates valid moves according to the rules for all 7 types of pieces, including rules often overlooked in other apps: "exposed king" (two kings cannot face each other on the same column), "knight's leg is blocked" (knight cannot move), "bishop's eye" (bishop cannot cross the river), cannon must jump over exactly one piece acting as a trigger when capturing a piece.

🤖 AI THAT REALLY CALCULATES
Not a random machine — AI uses a pruning search algorithm, anticipates many moves, recognizes captures and checkmate, and assesses the position of pieces on the board instead of just counting them. 3 difficulty levels from easy to challenging.

🎨 BEAUTIFUL CHESSBOARD AND PIECES
Traditional Chinese-style disc-shaped chess pieces with shadows and raised lighting. Pieces slide smoothly when moving instead of jumping stiffly. Valid squares are highlighted, pieces about to be captured are circled in yellow, and checkmated kings are clearly circled in red.

🔊 CUSTOMIZABLE SOUNDS + BACKGROUND MUSIC
Unique sound effects for each action (moving a piece, capturing a piece, checkmating, winning, losing). You can choose any music available on your device as background music, and turn it on/off as you like.

✅ COMPLETELY FREE, PLAY NOW
No account required, no internet connection needed to play. The app has ads (small banners + occasional ads after each game) to maintain free development; they will never interrupt you while you're thinking about your moves.

Suitable for both beginners and experienced chess players who want to practice anytime, anywhere.
