Chekhov's stories revolve around simple easy-to-relate characters like you & me but centre mostly on their emotions. Most of the stories here have undertones of romance, unrequited love & sad/neutral endings. The best story in this collection is definitely "Ward No.6". The sudden plot twist can't help you but feel sorry for the doctor & his terrible unexpected demise. 1 star removed for no bookmarks & page transformation upon font size change.
