The Virgin Media Connect app is the control unit for your WiFi. It helps you get your broadband up and running and make the most out of your WiFi experience, all from the comfort of your sofa.

Take control of your WiFi:

• Run a super-intelligent WiFi home scan to test speeds all around the home
• View, manage and even order WiFi Pods*
• Pause WiFi to individual devices, perfect for when it’s the kid’s bedtime
• Reboot your Hub remotely
• Share your WiFi with guests via a QR code
• Create a separate guest WiFi network for visitors
• Manage the Hub’s settings, such as network name and password

To put it simply, this app just does not work. After an hour or two of trying everything I knew to try, I eventually managed to find my Hub and connect to it, result. Then minutes later it was lost once more, never to be seen again! If you have WIFI blackspots in your house, you could be entitled to a free WIFI booster pod or two. But the only way you can apply for the free Pods is by doing a scan of your house through the app, which does not work. Yeah, nice one Virgin Media, thanks for that!!!

What a dreadful app. I've never used something so poor as this. It has worked a little in the past and showed some promise with potentially useful features but for the past 12 months or so it's just been garbage for me. The app. can't find my Hub 4 and whilst trying to connect to it my network drops out, sadly this is the only reliable thing it does!! Help/troubleshooting is useless as it blames everything apart from itself, probably blame global warming or leaves on the line next!! RUBBISH.

Utterly useless. Can't detect hub when I'm connected to the WiFi and less than a metre away. With my phone connected to the hub WiFi, clicking "Check my setup" says "Hub not found" and clicking "Let's fix it" from there gives "We can't find your hub". Seeing as my phone is actually connected to the hub, I can only conclude that the app is totally and utterly useless.

What's new

Here's what's new in this version:

• Users can now easily learn more about our Advanced Security service, by clicking on the widget in the Home page
• For Hub 5 users with Smart Security enabled, we've now offered more details on the threats you've been protected against
• We've resolved an issue some users were having around 'Optimise WiFi' feature repeatedly popping up

We're working hard to bring improvements to the Connect App, so we hope these tweaks offer a smoother experience.
