About this app

VS NVR is the companion app for VS NVR, the network video recorder you run on your own computer. It puts your cameras, recordings and alerts on your phone, at home or away.

Your recorder keeps the video on its own drive. When you watch from away, video travels from your recorder to your phone encrypted end to end, so it never sits on anyone else's server.

LIVE VIEW
• Watch every camera at once in a live grid, or open one camera full screen
• Switch between HD and a lighter stream, or let the app pick for your connection
• Steer pan-tilt-zoom cameras with on-screen controls

PLAYBACK
• Scrub back through recordings on a timeline with preview pictures
• Jump straight to the moment something happened
• Export a clip and share or save it

ALERTS
• Get notified when your recorder detects a person or vehicle
• Tap a notification to open that alert's clip
• Browse and search past alerts

SET UP AND MANAGE
• Find recorders on your Wi-Fi and set one up from your phone
• Sign in once and reach every recorder you have access to
• Add and discover cameras, set recording schedules, check storage, manage users and install updates, if your role allows it

REMOTE ACCESS
• Watching your recorders from the app needs a licence for each recorder or Pro on your VS NVR account
• Your account gets a 14-day free trial when you link its first recorder
• Recording, and watching in a browser at home or over your own VPN, stay free

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics
• Person and vehicle detection runs on your own recorder, not in the cloud
