Report how the weather has affected your farm.
SICA is an app for recording climate impacts on agriculture and livestock. Right from the field, in just a few minutes, you record whether a weather event has damaged your plots or your livestock, or whether it caused no damage at all. These reports build a real picture of the territory, so that the response to each event can be decided with complete data.
REPORT IN FOUR STEPS
1. Where did it happen? Locate your plots with GPS, by tapping them on the map or by drawing an area. SICA retrieves the SIGPAC reference, area and land use of each parcel.
2. What happened? Select up to three simultaneous phenomena (hail, frost, drought, strong wind, flood, storm, heatwave, tornado, wildfire, torrential rain, river overflow or other) and the date of the event.
3. How did it affect you? Indicate whether there is damage, no damage, or damage pending assessment, the degree of impact and what was damaged: crop, plants, soil, irrigation, infrastructure or access; for livestock, facilities, supplies, grazing areas, production activity and animals.
4. Additional information. Add photos from the camera or gallery, the affected area and any notes you find useful.
Before submitting, you review a full summary and can go back to any step.

WHO IT'S FOR
Farmers, livestock breeders, cooperatives, associations and technicians who need to record the state of their farms after a climate event. Reporting that there was no damage is just as useful as reporting damage: both complete the map.
WHAT IT IS NOT
A report submitted through SICA is for information and territorial analysis purposes only. It is not a complaint, not an insurance claim with an insurance company, does not replace any procedure with public authorities or start any administrative procedure on its own, and is not an application for aid, subsidies or compensation.
PUBLIC INFORMATION SOURCES
Plot data (reference, area and land use of each parcel) comes from SIGPAC (Spain's Geographic Information System for Agricultural Parcels), managed by the Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA), Ministry of Agood:
• Official SIGPAC information: https://www.fega.gob.es/es/pac/sigpac
• Official SIGPAC viewer: https://sigpac.mapa.gob.es/fega/visor/
SICA displays this data exactly as published by the source; in case of any discrepancy, the official information prevails.
PRIVACY
Location is used only to locate plots and attach coordinates to what you record: SICA does not continuously track your movements. The camera and gallery are used only for the photos you add. Data is hosted in the European Union.
