VivA's Read-and-listen app is an Afrikaans reading app, which is aimed at improving users' Afrikaans reading and writing ability. This app is suitable for users of all ages and for readers with different reading skills.

This app is an extension of VivA's Read-and-Listen library (available at www.viva-afrikaans.org) and contains written texts that are read aloud through which the audio and written image are simultaneously presented to readers.

The content is arranged in the following way:

-Children's stories with a "text-enlightening read-along function" and pictures.

Level 1: First words
Level 2: First sentences
Level 3: First paragraphs
Level 4: Longer paragraphs
Level 5: Read aloud (without read-along function)

-Short stories containing longer texts for more advanced readers.

Level 1: Reading with support (with read-along function)
Level 2: Partial reading support
Level 3: Minimal reading support
