VIVES SimLab is a professional app for managing and monitoring IoT medical devices such as bladder scans and glucometers. Developed for students and healthcare professionals, the app offers a modern and user-friendly interface for effective device management.
With the bladder scan module, you can enter accurate bladder volume measurements and send them directly to the cloud. Choose between multiple devices and receive immediate confirmation after each measurement. The glucometer function allows you to monitor and store glucose values, supporting multiple patients and devices.
The app uses Firebase Realtime Database for secure cloud storage. All communication is HTTPS encrypted, and your settings are stored locally on your device via IndexedDB. Push notifications are provided via Azure Notification Hub and can be configured or disabled entirely to your preference.
Built with Angular, TypeScript, and Material Design, the app delivers a fast and intuitive user experience. The responsive design works perfectly on smartphones and tablets. As a Progressive Web App, you can also use the app offline, and updates are installed automatically. VIVES SimLab was specifically developed for nursing and medical technology students who want to learn how to work with modern IoT devices. Healthcare professionals can also use the app for daily device management. Instructors find the app ideal for hands-on training in medical IoT technology.
Privacy is paramount. We collect only necessary data, settings remain local to your device, and we never sell data to third parties. The app is fully GDPR compliant with a transparent privacy policy.
The app is completely free with no hidden costs, in-app purchases, or ads. Developed by VIVES University of Applied Sciences in Kortrijk as an open educational project with continuous updates and support.
Minimum requirements: Android 5.1 or higher and 50 MB of free space. An internet connection is required for cloud synchronization, but offline functionality remains available.
