Sweet Sugar is a single-player puzzle application utilizing match-3 mechanics. The gameplay is centered around a 2D board filled with various candy-themed items, where players must identify and create matching sequences to complete specific logical objectives.
Gameplay Mechanics:
Input and Interaction: Players use touch-screen controls to select a single candy and drag it to an adjacent slot. If the swap results in a match of three or more identical items in a horizontal or vertical straight line, the items are removed from the board.
Board Updates: Once items are cleared, the remaining candies fall downward to fill the empty spaces based on simulated gravity, and new randomized items generate at the top of the grid to replenish the board.
Advanced Combinations: Matching four candies creates a line-clearing item. Matching five candies in an L or T shape creates an area-of-effect item. Matching five in a straight row generates a special item that clears all candies of a specific color currently on the board.
Stage Rules and Progression:
Win Conditions: Each stage requires the player to complete a designated task, such as clearing a specific quantity of certain colored candies, breaking predetermined background block layouts, or achieving a target numerical score.
Loss Conditions: Players are allocated a strict move limit per stage. Failing to complete the required stage conditions before the move counter depletes results in a level failure, requiring a restart.
Level Unlocking: Successfully completing a stage's objectives unlocks the subsequent level on the progression map.
Application Specifications:
Offline Capability: The application data and all level progression are stored locally on the device. Users can access all stages without requiring an active internet or cellular connection.
Visual Interface: The application operates with a 2D graphical user interface designed for clear visibility of puzzle elements and responsive touch interactions.
