About this app

Sparekey is one app for everything a shared flat has to keep track of - who paid the electricity, whose turn it is to take the bins out, what still needs buying, and where the rent agreement is saved.

Built for flatmates, roommates, PG residents and anyone splitting a home with other people.

SPLIT AND SETTLE UP
Add an expense, split it equally or by exact amounts, and everyone's balance updates at once. One tap to settle. Nothing is deleted when someone moves out - their balance stays visible until it is cleared.

BILLS THAT CARRY OVER
Rent is rarely split evenly and the person who pays it often changes. Sparekey tracks who paid the company, who owes whom, and carries unpaid amounts into the next month instead of starting from zero.

CHORES ON A ROTATION
Set a chore once and it rotates by itself. Everyone can see whose turn it is, so nobody has to be the person who keeps asking.

ONE GROCERY LIST
A single live list the whole flat adds to. Tick something off in the shop and it disappears for everyone.

NOTICES AND DOCUMENTS
The fridge door, but searchable. Post what the house should know, and keep the rent agreement, bills and papers somewhere everyone can find them.

INVITE WITH A HOUSE CODE
Share one code to bring a roommate in. People who join later start with a clean slate and see the house as it is now.

ONE SUBSCRIPTION FOR THE WHOLE HOUSE
Sparekey is not priced per person. One roommate subscribes and the entire household is covered, including anyone who moves in later. No per-seat charges, and nobody locked out because they did not pay their share.

If the subscription lapses, nothing you recorded is taken away. The house keeps access to every expense, bill and document, and can still settle outstanding balances.

Subscription is billed yearly and can be cancelled at any time. Access always runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
