Fun but Flawed This game is great! But there are many improvements to be made. I'm ok with playing difficult games, but many of the levels are out of balance. Also, they have made many features of the units/items but everything seems locked down.
I would agree with what a lot of others say about this game. Very good concept and fun, but too grindy. You can finish several levels in a row, then get slaughtered by the AI over and over on another level. You can replay finished levels for gold and potion ingredients, but the payoff is very small. For changes, I would like to see more gold for replaying levels. Also, while the game tells you which levels to find the ingredients, you may not get any when you replay. Make potion ingredients something you are guaranteed to get on certain levels, instead of random. Less grinding when you are stuck.
Great. Could be better. It's a really nice concept. However, it won't let me do pvp for some reason. The amount of grinding necessary if you don't buy coins is a little too much, which will be fixed if we are allowed to moved items between each character in each class.
I love turn based team buildig rpg's, and this one takes the cherry on the cake. Although I would appreciate it if I could hire specific character classes whenever I like, the game is still thrilling. New classes would be nice too, like a black Ninja that could dodge attacks by moving to free adjacent cells, or a yellow Paladin that could create zones of invulnerability, impassable walls and knock enemies back a cell or two.
Pretty brutal paywall I'll preface this by saying it's not necessary to pay to win this game, but in order for you to "buy" any of the good abilities to make your units worth anything, you need to grind out several hundred gold. Repeating older levels gets you sometimes less than 3 gold at a time, and the random factor really makes each grind session risky and not worthwhile. I picked up this game with the hopes that it would be a pick-up-and-play kind of situation, progressing maybe one or two levels per session, not to grind.
RNG hell at the end This game isn't a strategy game. It's a game of luck that use enemy spam as difficulty. With a poor system of keeping track of your version and a heavy reliance on potions, just don't bother. There are better games. Cool concept though.
