About this game

TactigmAI is chess against an engine that plays at your level — not a bot
that crushes you, not one you crush — and every game you play is reviewed.

GAME REVIEW
When a game ends, Stockfish goes back over it: every move is graded, from
best to blunder, with your accuracy for the game and the move where it
turned. Step through the moves with the engine's verdict on each, the move
it would have played drawn on the board, and an evaluation bar beside it.
Then play on from that position, against the same kind of opponent, to
try the better move yourself.

YOUR GAMES
Every game you finish is kept on your phone — the last 100 — and any of
them can be reviewed later, from the list, with its accuracy once it has
been graded.

RANKED GAMES THAT FOLLOW YOUR RATING
Play against Stockfish set just above your own Elo. Win and the next
opponent is a little stronger; lose and it eases off. Your rating and
record are updated after every game, with a chart of how you have
progressed.

FIVE BOT LEVELS FOR PRACTICE
From Beginner (random legal moves) through Novice, Intermediate and
Expert to Master (Stockfish at full strength). Pick the level you want
to train against, no rating at stake.

8,700+ MATE PUZZLES
Mate in 1, mate in 2, mate in 3 and mixed puzzles, each with a difficulty
rating. The board tells you whose move it is and how far into the
solution you are; take a move back and try again.

A NEW PUZZLE EVERY DAY
The daily puzzle asks for the best move, not necessarily mate. One
position, one answer, every day.

PLAY WITH A FRIEND
Pass the phone: a hot-seat game on one device with no engine involved.

SET UP ANY POSITION
The board editor lets you place the pieces and play the position out
against the engine.
