VoiceScroll is a voice-powered teleprompter that scrolls your script automatically as you speak. No remote controls, no foot pedals, no manual scrolling — just paste your script, tap start, and speak naturally. Your words drive the scroll.

VOICE-ACTIVATED AUTO SCROLL
Real-time speech recognition listens to your voice and advances the script to match your natural pace. Hybrid voice tracking keeps the scroll smooth even during brief pauses. Speed up, slow down, or pause — VoiceScroll follows you, not the other way around. It also remembers where you stopped, so you can resume right where you left off.

REAL-TIME WORD HIGHLIGHTING
Always know exactly where you are. The current word glows orange, spoken words fade to gray, and upcoming text stays bright white. Never lose your place again.

CAMERA RECORDING WITH PIP
Record yourself while reading, in portrait or landscape (16:9). Orientation stays locked during recording, so your video never flips mid-take. A draggable Picture-in-Picture window shows your camera feed over the scrolling script. Switch between front and back cameras. When you finish, add captions, style them, trim silent gaps and save the video to your gallery.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
VoiceScroll uses on-device speech recognition. For languages your phone can't recognise offline, you can turn on Online recognition in Scroll mode — your voice in those languages is then sent to Google for recognition. It's off by default. No ads, no account required, and VoiceScroll does not collect your scripts.

USE WITH RECORDING APPS
While another app records, Android turns off the microphone for other apps, so your script stops following your voice. VoiceScroll's optional accessibility service (AccessibilityService API) lets it keep hearing you in that case. It stays off until you turn it on in Accessibility settings, and you can turn it off at any time. The service does not read your screen or control other apps. In this mode, your voice is used only to find your place in the script.

Speak in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified, Traditional, Cantonese), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Vietnamese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Malay, Indonesian, Polish, Hindi, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, or Thai, with right-to-left support for Arabic and Hebrew. Language is detected automatically from your script.

Drag the reading line to your camera lens height so you can read while looking straight at the lens. Pinch to zoom the text while reading — font size adjusts instantly from 14sp to 80sp. Works beautifully in both portrait and landscape orientations.

EDIT: it works perfectly when you zoom out and use smaller text. its harder to see, but the problem is gone. I still hope the bigger text problem gets fixed and i hope a feature comes out where you can move the text more left or right, since I record in landscape mode and the text is in the middle of the screen instead of closer to the camera. nontheless, worthy of 5 stars.

the scrolling is perfectly synchronized with the speed of the voice. But the quality with which the app captures video is wanting. moreover, when you decide to use the phone's camera and let prompts of this app float, the voice scrolling ceases.

Easy non-subscription. Get's the job done. This should put all subscriptions out of business.
