About this app

Your battery icon is the most-looked-at thing on your phone. It is also the
most boring. Voltz replaces it with a little character that lives in your
status bar and reacts to your charge — grinning at full, sleepy when it is
time to plug in.

Pick a face. It shows up in your status bar. That is the whole app.


WHAT YOU GET

* A face that changes with your charge: happy above 70%, chill through the
middle, sleepy under 30%, worried when you are nearly out.
* Animations that play right in the status bar — blinks, wiggles, twitches.

* Night skin — a sleepy face after 22:00, on its own.

HOW IT WORKS

Android only lets an accessibility service draw over the status bar. That is
the one permission Voltz asks for, and you turn it on yourself in Settings.

Voltz does not read your screen. The service measures where your battery icon
sits so the skin can be positioned on top of it. It does not read what you
type, your messages, your passwords, or anything you do in other apps. It
records nothing and uploads nothing. You can switch it off at any time and the
app keeps working — it just stops drawing.

No account. No sign-up. No email address. Voltz never asks who you are.
Everything about your setup stays on your phone.


FREE, ALL OF IT

Twelve skins are free the moment you open the app. Every other skin unlocks by
watching a short ad. There is nothing to buy — no in-app purchases, no
subscription, and Voltz will never ask you for a payment method.
