About this app

VoxaBoard is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) app that helps people express themselves with picture cards and speech.

HOW IT WORKS
• Tap cards to build a sentence, then tap Speak to hear it read aloud.
• Cards are grouped by topic, such as Greetings, Needs, Places and Core words, so the right word is easy to find.
• Create and manage your own cards, and keep the ones you use most.

LOCATION-BASED VOCABULARY
• Scan a location's QR code, for example at a café, clinic or shop, and VoxaBoard builds a vocabulary board for the questions people are likely to ask there.
• Ready-to-use words appear in one place, so communicating in a new setting is quicker.

HELPFUL EXTRAS
• Optional sign-in lets the app explain brand-new words and add them as cards.
• Scanning, the board and speech all work without signing in.
• No ads.

VoxaBoard is designed to be used by children and adults with communication difficulties, together with family members, caregivers and teachers.

• Record a voice for any card, or attach an audio file
• Type words or numbers into the sentence, with suggestions
• Smarter suggestions ("I eat" shows food cards)
• Edit or delete any board from the board itself
• Full-screen landscape layout
• Mixed English and Sinhala sentences now speak correctly
