Nice, but am looking for an app which can integrate with Google Tasks AND allow manual sorting of tasks for tasks in all lists. That is, it's nice that you combine from all lists, but I have many tasks where I don't assign a due date. That's because I would just need to keep resetting the due dates when I don't complete them. Rather than always resetting due dates, I simply don't use them. There are limited tasks which do receive due dates, but most of my tasks do not. These are just getting dumped at the end with no real order from a priority point of view, so in the end, it's not very useful for me. I know Google doesn't support this either but sometimes an app needs to go above and beyond what Google provides in order to stand out.
This is fantastic. I went through the list of results in the app store when you search 'tasks', looking for a replacement for GTasks - everything met one or two of my criteria, but not all. This syncs with Google Tasks, allows me to sort out my lists based on what list they're actually on (ie bills, classes, work, etc), lets me add due dates and reminders if I want (it even gives me a 'x number of days until' on the screen). It shows me what I've got coming up and when, and the widget doesn't look like garbage. I haven't tried the notebook features yet, but the color coding by list works nicely, things are lit up in red when I mark them as high importance. And as an added bonus, it's got a dark version skin. Fantastic job nailing everything I wanted in a Google Tasks app since Google doesn't seem to want to do it's own app for the service!
This is a fantastic app! I have been using it for only a week or two, so I cannot be sure yet how it will work out permanently, but so far it does everything I need and keeps surprising me with great features. It has a very solid, stable feel to it and I have experienced NO bugs or quirks. Unlimited notebooks or containers can be created. Each notebook can contain unlimited divisions or projects. Each division can contain unlimited items or tasks. I have not tried it yet, but I hear that each item has unlimited expandability for sub-items, such as sub-tasks. The developer is very responsive and emailed me right away to answer all my questions. Items can be scheduled for date and time and recurrence, which is easy to set. Items can be sorted and viewed alphabetically or by date/time. Items can be easily moved from one list to another. Lists can be manually ordered as you choose. There is a bit of a learning curve for me, but once I understand it, it makes good sense and is simple to use. Context-sensitive menus can be triggered when I need them, such as copy and paste, so it has more functionality than at first appears, which keeps it easy to understand. It is very adaptable. It can be used simply as a group of lists or powerfully as a way to manage ones whole life. It would be excellent for a GTD system but is much more flexible and personally configureable. Backup and syncing are available in Google Tasks (which can be accessed also from Windows), or files can be local. Each list and the items on it can be color-coded. What a well-implemented gem! Congratulations to the developer!
Just like the app Gtasks, but better IMO. Biggest feature for me is plainly listing number of days left, opposed to just the due date alone.
Switched from gtasks as that became annoyingly overbloated. Developer was very responsive when I had a suggestion. Simple app does the job perfectly.
I have looked at a lot of to do list apps. This one is easy to input data, well formatted and organized and send notification that you can 'mark done' right to your phone notification center. Love it.
- Checked items in widget are now grayed out.
- Added a prompt for confirmation for "Uncheck all completed tasks".
- Allowed indentation even when completed tasks are hidden.
- 'All Tasks' sorted by Order now has Indent In/Out, drag sorting and Uncheck Completed Tasks options.
