About this app

MIDRC is a viewer and organizer for medical imaging documents in DICOM format on Android phones and tablets. Use it to open records you choose and browse their existing images, study information and series.

Open DICOM files, compatible ZIP archives or folders through the system file picker or Open with MIDRC. Keep a local library with favorites and notes, and resume your viewing session.

Viewing tools:
• Adjust window width and level, zoom, pan, rotate, mirror and play image sequences.
• Add and edit distance, angle, area and ROI annotations on calibrated images.
• Compare two image series with independent or linked views.
• View MPR and linked oblique planes with slice, mean, minimum and maximum projections.
• Create a manual Curved MPR path and inspect A/B/C cross-sections.
• Explore volume rendering with bone, tissue, grayscale, MIP and surface views, camera controls, cropping and contour cuts.

Reconstruction requires compatible monochrome series with valid spatial geometry. Missing regions remain empty. Large volumes may use reduced reconstruction resolution; original 2D images remain available. File compatibility depends on encoding and metadata. Measurements depend on source calibration and point placement.

Export images or selected DICOM copies. Clearing metadata does not remove text embedded in image pixels and does not guarantee anonymization. Check exported content before sharing it.

Local files can be viewed without signing in. The library, notes and annotations stay in private app storage until you delete them. The app contains no ads or analytics SDKs and does not automatically upload studies to a developer-operated server. Optional HTTPS and DICOMweb/PACS imports contact the server you specify; existing server access may be required. Exports and sharing are initiated by you. Android app backup is disabled, so keep separate copies of files you need.

MIDRC is intended for document organization, image viewing and personal study. It provides no automated clinical interpretation or treatment recommendations. MIDRC is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. Do not use it for primary diagnosis or treatment decisions. For questions about your health or care, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

The interface is available in English, Russian, German and Spanish.
