Smart Image Compressor reduces photo file sizes on your phone — fully on-device. No accounts, no uploads, no analytics, no ads.

Pick a target size — 500 KB for an email attachment, 200 KB for a web upload, 50 KB for an ID document — and the app finds the smallest quality that lands at or below that limit. Or set a maximum dimension. Or take direct control over quality, format (JPEG / WebP / PNG), and resolution.

WHY THIS APP

Most online image compressors send your photos to a server you don't control. This one doesn't. Smart Image Compressor runs entirely on your phone's CPU and never requests the INTERNET permission. You can verify this yourself in Android Settings → Apps → Smart Image Compressor → Permissions.

Photos you compress stay on your device — your gallery, the app's private folder, or shared straight to another app via the system share sheet. Your call.

THREE MODES

• Smart — pick a preset (Email ≤ 500 KB, Profile picture 640 px, Web ≤ 200 KB, ID upload ≤ 50 KB) and the app dials in the right quality automatically.

• Target — type any size limit in KB or MB. Binary search lands the output just under the limit, and photos already smaller than the target are passed through untouched.

• Manual — drive quality (0–100), max dimension, and output format yourself. For when you know what you want.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

• Zero network access. The app does not request the INTERNET permission.
• Zero analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting SDKs.
• Zero ads.
• Zero accounts. No sign-up, no tracking ID.
• EXIF control: strip all metadata (default), strip GPS only, or keep everything.
• A no-grow guard means a photo is never saved larger than the original — if compression would make a file bigger, the app skips re-encoding and marks it PASSED.

EXTRAS

• PDF export — turn a batch of photos into a single PDF, with an in-app preview and an optional size cap on the PDF itself.
• Compare screen — pinch-zoom and a reveal slider to see exactly what compression cost you.
• Receive shares — set Smart Image Compressor as the destination when sharing photos from another app, and they arrive ready to compress.
• Saved settings — your preferred mode, EXIF policy, and save destination stick between sessions.
