About this app

Route Reel turns the photos from your trip into a beautiful, cinematic travel video — a flyover of the actual map, following your real route from stop to stop.

Just point Route Reel at your trip photos. It reads the location saved in each photo, places every stop on the map in order, and animates a smooth camera flight along your journey — driving, flying, riding the train, or sailing — with your photos blooming in at each place you stopped.

No editing skills needed. No timeline to scrub. Pick your photos, and your reel builds itself.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Build a map-flyover video automatically from geotagged photos
• See your trip drawn as a route that draws itself as you travel
• Choose how you moved between stops — car, plane, train, bus, tram, boat, bike, or walking
• Add short captions to the photos you want to highlight
• Pick your vehicle marker style to match your trip's vibe
• Save the finished video straight to your gallery, ready to share

PERFECT FOR
• Road trips, backpacking, and multi-city adventures
• Recaps you actually want to post
• Reliving a journey, stop by stop

HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose the photos from your trip.
2. Route Reel maps your stops and figures out the order.
3. Tweak the route, transport, and captions if you like.
4. Tap create — and watch your journey come to life.

PRIVACY
Your photos and finished videos stay on your device. Route Reel doesn't require an account, doesn't show ads, and doesn't upload your photos. Map and route data is provided by Mapbox. See our privacy policy for details.
