Catching Thief is a fast-paced arcade game where you play as a neon detective chasing cunning thieves through a cyberpunk-style grid. Drag your detective across the screen to hunt down and capture escaped criminals.
Five types of thieves keep you constantly alert: regular thieves will run away when you get close; sprinters will dash through the arena; serpentine thieves are unpredictable; ghost thieves appear and disappear; and bomb thieves will explode if you get too close without a shield.
Power-ups drop between waves of enemies to give you an edge. You can freeze all thieves on the screen, activate shields to defend against bomb attacks, deploy magnets to attract coins, slow down waves of enemies, earn double coins, or gain an extra life.
Spend coins in the Black Market to permanently upgrade your detective's speed, capture range, starting lives, freeze duration, magnet strength, and coin acquisition. Six upgrade trees, each with five levels, provide a rich progression path.
