Use Wi-Fi and mobile data at the same time with AppRoute, the per-app network routing tool for Android. Choose which apps connect through Wi-Fi, which use mobile data, and which are blocked from the internet. Set speed limits and data limits, monitor data usage, and automate your connection rules. No root required.
Stream video over mobile data while your messaging and banking apps stay on Wi-Fi. Each app uses the connection you select, so you stay in control of your network and your data plan.
USE BOTH NETWORKS AT THE SAME TIME
Run different apps over Wi-Fi and mobile data simultaneously. AppRoute works as a dual network manager: apps you assign to mobile data use your cellular connection, while the rest stay on Wi-Fi. Switch any app between networks in a few taps, without turning Wi-Fi or mobile data off.
CHOOSE A NETWORK FOR EACH APP
Per-app network routing gives every app its own rule:
• Mobile data: send selected apps through your cellular connection
• Wi-Fi: keep apps on your Wi-Fi network
• Default: follow the system connection
• Block: cut off internet access completely for any app
Change your routing rules from the app list at any time.
SPEED LIMITER AND DATA LIMITS
Take control of bandwidth and mobile data usage:
• Set an internet speed limit for individual apps
• Add a data usage limit to any app
• Pause an app's internet access automatically when its limit is reached
• Apply limits to mobile data only, or to combined Wi-Fi and mobile usage
Stop background-heavy apps from draining your data plan.
DATA USAGE MONITOR
See where your data goes. View Wi-Fi and cellular usage separately, check totals, and explore usage by app. The dashboard shows your routing status and active connections, and Stats gives you a closer look at recorded traffic.
AUTOMATE YOUR CONNECTION RULES
Set it once and let AppRoute handle the rest:
• Schedule connection rules to fit your routine
• Start automatically when Wi-Fi and mobile data are both connected
• Enable automatic fallback if a connection drops
• Get an optional warning before an app switches to mobile data
DNS AND NETWORK OPTIONS
• DNS-over-HTTPS to encrypt supported DNS lookups
• Public Wi-Fi login protection for captive portals
• Metered Wi-Fi handling
• IPv6 support
PERFECT FOR
• Slow or unstable Wi-Fi: keep important apps on mobile data
• Limited data plans: keep heavy apps on Wi-Fi and cap the rest
• Streaming, gaming, and video calls on the best available connection
• Parents and families who want to block or limit specific apps
• Anyone who wants a simple network switcher for each app
HOW APP ROUTING WORKS
AppRoute uses Android's VPN service (VpnService) to manage selected app connections locally on your device. Android will request VPN permission and may show a VPN key icon while routing is active. Your app traffic uses the selected Wi-Fi or cellular connection. AppRoute does not route it through an AppRoute-operated remote VPN server.
GOOD TO KNOW
• AppRoute does not combine Wi-Fi and mobile bandwidth into one faster connection, and it does not change your location.
• Android generally allows one active VPN service at a time, so disconnect other VPN apps before using AppRoute.
• Enable both Wi-Fi and mobile data to use both networks.
• Mobile data charges from your carrier still apply.
• Routing and background operation can vary by device, Android version, carrier, and battery settings.
