Cipher Compass is a private file vault for Android. To anyone else it looks and works like a normal compass — no vault icon, no login screen, no trace. Only you know the secret.
How it works
Unlock with three factors in sequence: your secret compass bearing + custom gesture + PIN or fingerprint. One wrong move and it silently stays a compass. Perfect plausible deniability.
How is this different from other hidden vault apps?
Most hidden vaults use a calculator disguise — a common pattern that is now widely known and the first thing someone suspicious will check. Cipher Compass uses a fully functional compass with real sensor data, degree readings, coordinates, and altitude. It behaves exactly like a premium compass app because it is one.
Bank-level encryption
- AES-256-GCM encryption with unique IV per file
- PIN protected by Argon2id (OWASP-recommended, same as top password managers)
- Keys stored in Android hardware-backed Keystore — never leave your device
- Files decrypted in memory only — never written to disk in plaintext
