Use the WA Sales Tax Rate Lookup app to find current Washington sales tax rates quickly and easily from anywhere you use your mobile device.

Whether you’re on a job site, delivering items, or in a store, check this app to verify the correct sales tax rate. Businesses with multiple work sites or delivery locations? Save, share, and export your list of locations, including calculated sales tax charges to streamline your bookkeeping.

What’s new:
• Easily refresh rates that have expired, and improved identification of expired items.
• Saved locations are grouped by month for easy exporting.
• Added city, county, and tribal indicator to results page.
• Added user options, including Always Open Calculator, Subscribe for News about this app, and show Service Alerts (in-app, to let you know when the GIS system is offline for maintenance).
• User interface and accessibility improvements.

• Find your local sales tax rate by GPS or by searching an address.
• Enter the taxable amount to calculate the total charge with sales tax.
• Name, save, and share locations via email or text message.
• Download your saved locations (text or CSV) for use in filing your tax returns.
• Turn on in-app Service alerts to let you know when GIS system is offline for maintenance.

* The app does not currently provide lodging or motor vehicle sales and rentals rates. Visit dor.wa.gov for those rates.
* Warning: Do not use this app as your accounting system. Updates to the app may delete your saved locations.

Ratings and reviews

Map can only be used to find the tax rate at the current gps location of your phone. You cannot scroll and tap a different location on the map like your delivery address. This makes the tool mostly useless.

Not reliable because it doesn't always give you the correct tax for the location you're at. You would think if the sales tax was so important it would be more accurate, waste of time & money!

I work for a small used car dealerships in Oregon and we use the website all the time to look up motor vehicle sales tax. I thought the app would help me while outside talking to customers, but the app doesn't have that tab like the website. * I'm aware it's for WA, we have WA customers that we have to look up taxes for. Vehicle sales tax is different than regular use sales tax, hince the reason I can't use the app.
