Get the brand new festival app for Wacken Open Air 2026!

It's the perfect companion for all visitors of the festival! With running orders, line-up, festival maps or a news section it offers a lot of helpful features which might come in handy before the festival begins. You will also be able to manage even more of your daily festival business with functions that are absolutely helpful on spot at the holy ground!

The Wacken Open Air app will (optionally) use your location in the background to be able to send you location specific push notifications, such as emergency and public safety messaging relevant to the event.

Ratings and reviews

The app features an adequate overview of the stages and artists, but it is lacking in several other areas: Wallet is not showing the correct amount, charging takes longer than on website or doesn't work at all. It's impossible to find a specific food stall by location or type of food in the foods list without extensive search, drinks list doesn't offer location either. This delivered a really bad experience this year. The schedules were not updated after the changes, you had no idea where, when, and if the bands were playing. On Thursday all the schedule for Friday and Saturday vanish from the app. Now I have to rely on screenshots I took and hope the schedule is still accurate But maybe the most frustrating thing were the updates about how they were fixing the mess caused by their lack of preparation. It created so much uncertainty and frustration.

Disfunctional app. Map shows something else on repeat (some areas loaded multiple times). The list of that stages is provided without their names. Locations are provided in general, without specification (f.e. What kind of food). Sadly, there is no paper version of schedule, nor a map.
