About this app

Problems of traditional learning methods
Many proficient Spanish speakers have often learned the language in a country where it is spoken. Our left brain is responsible for language processing, while our right brain processes images. Typically, when we see an image, our right brain reacts first. Traditional learning methods can create faulty language structures because they rely solely on the left brain for memorization through language alone

Key features of Lockscreen Spanish Dictionary
The Lockscreen Spanish Dictionary engages both the left and right brain to learn Spanish vocabulary. This allows you to recall both 'car' and 'automóvil' simultaneously when you see a picture of a car. This learning method provides a similar effect to learning the language in a country where it is spoken

Lockscreen memorization
Words are displayed on the lockscreen so that you can learn Spanish every time you turn on your phone.

Amazing app! Not perfect, but good for beginners to learn various sentences and add new words to their vocabularies. My one critique? The translations and even the Spanish sentences likely need a secondary editor to make sure everything is clear, concise, and correct - I've noticed multiple spelling errors! An ADDITION I'd also love, is (if applicable) if the words given included synonyms and antonyms, too! I'd also like to click on "example sentence" words for separate highlighted translations.

Works as advertised, tho I only gave it 4 stars as there is always room for improvement, even if I can't think of a good example, besides the choices of the audio speed and voices, for Spanish (in the United States) add another female voice, if only so I can switch through them and get used to more than just one female voice, as Ive 2 male voices to switch between that does help me get better at listening to spoken Spanish, tho much better from male, as I've 2 male voices examples, n 1 girl

🙏Please, you must correct the pronunciation (from mid-western American English) to SPANISH (preferably not Castilian). It's terrible to try to learn new words with this awesome app...yet it is pronounced so horribly! And although I could change my devices' text to speech language globally, it would muck up all the other apps that use the English voices correctly. Please FIX this! 🙏There are so many other aspects of this app which are otherwise excellent.
