WAFTo is an app that subtly notifies you of people who were nearby.
Whether you're out in the city, at an event, or in your usual daily life, it gently notifies you of people who were in the same area at the same time. Instead of sharing your location in real time, notifications arrive 1-3 hours later (randomly).
■ What is WAFTo?
WAFTo detects when users were in roughly the same area at the same time. It's a relaxed social experience that delivers the serendipitous feeling of "we were nearby a little while ago," rather than "where are you right now."

・Those who want to enjoy the feeling of being unknowingly close to acquaintances and friends

■ Privacy Considerations
- We do not collect or display exact addresses, street numbers, or building names.
- Location information is converted to an accuracy of approximately 150 meters (geohash).
- Only the area name at the city/ward level (e.g., Shibuya) is displayed to other users.
- Turning off detection will stop the transmission of location information.
- Location information will not be transmitted in the vicinity of your registered home (settings are saved only on your device and not sent to the server).
- You and blocked users will not receive notifications from each other.
- In principle, notifications to the same person are limited to once per day.
- Your profile icon will only be displayed to other users in the history if you have set it.
- Deleting your account will delete related data.
■ How to Use
1. Log in with your Google account or email address.
2. Follow the initial instructions to set location information and notification permissions and your display name.
3. Turn on detection and go about your day as usual.
4. If someone was nearby at the same time and in the same area, you will receive a notification in 1-3 hours.
■ Precautions
- Android This is an app for devices.
* Requires background location services (if detection is enabled).
* Notifications will arrive 1-3 hours after detection (randomly).
* Not all "nearby" occurrences will necessarily be detected and notified.
