Waitery KDS is the kitchen display system for restaurants running on the Waitery platform.

Orders fired from the floor, the counter, or online appear on the kitchen screen in under a second. Cooks work tickets by station, bump items as they finish, and the expo view keeps the pass in sync — no paper, no shouting, no lost chits.

ALWAYS-ON PRINTING
Waitery KDS keeps a persistent connection to your restaurant's print queue so kitchen tickets keep printing even when no one is signed in on the tablet, across shift changes, and after reboots. While this listener is active the app shows a "Listening for print jobs" notification.

MADE FOR RESTAURANT HARDWARE
Designed for landscape Android tablets mounted in the kitchen. Supports Star and ESC/POS network printers on your local network.

REQUIRES A WAITERY RESTAURANT ACCOUNT
This app is for staff of restaurants that use Waitery. To connect a tablet, a manager generates a pairing code in the Waitery Restaurant Panel; staff then sign in with their personal PIN. There is no self-serve sign-up inside the app.

What’s new

This update improves station handling and layout on the kitchen display: - Change Station is now always available, even on a device with a fixed station assignment, and you are asked whether to move the assignment. - Tickets sent back by the system are no longer shown as if a person recalled them. - Dialogs now sit above the on-screen keyboard instead of behind it. - Screens now respect the safe area at the top of the display. - General stability and display fixes.
