Wake From Far gives you a focused Android companion for remotely waking computers that are connected to your own WakeFromFar backend.
Choose a machine, check its latest reachability state, and send a Wake-on-LAN request with one tap. If your administrator enables the option for a device, you can also send a shutdown request with an optional note. Administrators can review wake and shutdown-request activity and receive notifications for new requests.
Key features:
• Wake assigned computers remotely through your self-hosted backend
• See grouped devices, favorites, reachability state, and last-check time
• Send an optional shutdown request to your administrator
• Review relevant activity when signed in as an administrator
• Choose English or German and use light, dark, or system theme
• Restore the optional one-time Pro unlock through Google Play
The free plan displays up to three assigned devices. A one-time Pro purchase unlocks all assigned devices in the Android app.
Important setup requirement:
Wake From Far is not a hosted cloud service. Before signing in, your administrator must deploy and configure the WakeFromFar backend, create your account, assign devices, and give you its HTTPS address. Use a protected private connection such as WireGuard, Tailscale, or an administrator-approved secure tunnel. Wake behavior depends on the backend host, network, and target computer being configured for Wake-on-LAN.
The app contains no ads, analytics SDK, or crash-reporting SDK.
