Wakehound is a driver-safety companion that watches for early signs of drowsiness in real time, entirely on your device.
HOW IT WORKS
Using your phone's front camera and on-device machine learning, Wakehound analyzes your eyes, blink rate, and head position while you drive. Every frame is processed in memory and discarded immediately, no video or images are ever recorded, stored, or uploaded. Detection works fully offline; no internet connection required.
GRADED ALERTS, NOT JUST ONE ALARM
Early warning: a gentle chime plus a spoken reminder to take a break, the moment your alertness starts to dip.
Full alarm: a loud looping siren, vibration, and repeated voice alerts if drowsiness becomes severe, designed to be impossible to ignore.
Face-lost detection: if the camera can't see your face (phone moved, head turned away for too long), Wakehound alerts you immediately.
A short recovery window after you dismiss an alert prevents false re-triggers while you regain alertness.
PERSONAL CALIBRATION
A quick 25-second calibration learns your personal eye and blink baseline, so detection is tuned to you, not a generic average.
TRIP HISTORY
Every session is logged locally with duration, timestamps, and alert counts, so you can review how a drive went and spot patterns over time.
YOUR PRIVACY, ON YOUR DEVICE
No accounts or sign-in required.
No analytics, ad SDKs, or third-party tracking.
No cloud sync, calibration data, settings, and trip history stay on your device.
You're in control: remove saved data any time from within the app.
OPTIONAL SAFETY PROFILE
You can optionally store medical notes and emergency contact details in your profile for your own reference. This information stays local and is not currently used for automatic calling or alerting.
Wakehound is an assistive aid only, it does not replace safe, attentive driving, adequate rest, or your responsibilities as a vehicle operator. Always pull over safely if you feel drowsy.
