I have a older DIY PLUS X that I have not used in awhile, since I got a new phone for sure.I tried everything it would not work, 430 pm on a Saturday I emailed Walabot. 30 minutes later I got a response with troubleshooting tips. It still wouldn't work. I emailed again sunday morning, again 30 Minutes late I got more tips. The tech support for this company is great and the product is great. The problem was my USB connector on my phone. Everthing worked great on wifes phone.

Makes finding studs simple! If you're like me, you've struggled with magnetic stud finders that are more or less accurate and can leave you driving a screw into unsupported drywall. The Walabot solves that issue. Simply connect via USB and calibrate, and it literally shows you where the studs are. It's easier and more accurate than any consumer-grade magnetic finder. Highly recommend. Only caveat: the adhesive pad is sticky. Find something to keep it clean and dry.

It works fine as a stud finder, but I don't like the way that I need to create an online account to use a stud finder, don't like being tracked with advertising ids, etc. Minus one star for that. The fine print says: You acknowledge that you are aware that this App and the Sensor should not be relied on exclusively to locate items below a scanned surface. So you need also a real stud finder. Another minus star.
