All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the noblest of messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.

Knowing one's lineage involves knowing one's relatives and those to whom one is related by blood. This is something Islam encourages: (O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.) [Quran 49:13]
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Learn enough of your lineage to maintain ties of kinship, for maintaining ties of kinship brings love among family, increases wealth, and prolongs life.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi

Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) said: “Learn your lineages so that you may know your origins and maintain ties of kinship.”

Ali ibn Abi Talib (may God honor his face) said: “Honor your tribe, for they are your wings with which you fly. Through them you prevail, and through them you achieve greatness. They are your support in times of hardship. Honor their noble ones, visit their sick, involve them in your affairs, and ease the burden of their needy ones.”

We are pleased to present this humble work documenting the history of the esteemed Hamad Jabara family, a family whose roots run deep in the land of the homeland, and whose branches have spread to shelter generations of men and women who have proudly and honorably borne the family name.

Documenting the family's history is not merely a recitation of names and dates, but rather a preservation of collective memory, a strengthening of kinship ties, and a reminder to future generations of their ancestors' great legacy. In this book, we explore the history of Hilla Hamad Jabara through six main chapters, each representing a branch of the noble family. Through these chapters, we learn about the origins and roots, and the achievements and contributions made by family members across generations.

Although the intermingling and integration of these elements makes separation and categorization difficult, we have strived to keep the information accessible to the reader. We have documented everyone who shared this blessed land with us, even those who don't technically fall under this classification. This is the tradition instilled in Hilla Hamad by its generations: whoever enters Hilla Hamad is one of us.
