"Auralux is real-time strategy in its purest form... It's simple. It's elegant. It's slow and engrossing." – Kotaku

"Auralux is a success. It distills the real-time-strategy game to its purest form." - The A.V. Club

"The later game introduces some very interesting mechanics though, such as black holes, gamma ray bursts, and orbiting planets... There is something for everyone." – Techgage

Awesome game, love it, it's highly addictive, in a good way of course, the simplicity of the game makes it easy to pick up and jump into. With ever scaling levels the game teaches you the fundamentals as you play the real campaign, levels get harder with orbiting planets and supernovas just to name a few cool things. I Gave the graphics a 3 as the are beyond simple but entirely relevant, otherwise it would be lower. The Controls could use an upgrade, holding three fingers down just to move the screen plus it has the simultaneous effect of selecting all your units so if you hold it at the wrong pressure you screw yourself over. It's a chess game, one wrong move and you could be done. Controls again, moving the screen and zooming out at the beginning of each level gives the computer or human player a chance to get ahead. Other than the control issues the game is great and I would personally recommend a download.

Well, it is fun. It is one of the best games like this I have played. It has two big issues. Firstly, the unit selection and move order are just horribly designed. There are a lot of split-second decisions you need to make and you end up selecting units instead of sending them somewhere, costing you the game. It's extremely frustrating and could be easily fixed. Second, the difficulty on the highest level is frankly unwinnable, you just have to be lucky that the enemy attacks you less often

Fun game, used to enjoy it. But now...controls will arbitrarily send your units off into the middle of nowhere, or won't select. AI will decide to suicide against you and hand the game to your opponent, despite there being open planets much closer. You will get ganged up on. And at the higher difficulties, the game simply ceases to be fun. I wouldn't pay for any of the extra content until controls are fixed, but at least there are some free levels.

* Multiplayer improvements! Better performance and fixed a matchmaking bug
* Units will now flow around suns, make the game feel more realistic
