Comparison Tool for Retail Electronic Communications Services
The Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ART) provides consumers (individuals and businesses) with a tool to compare the rates of retail electronic communications services (voice calls, SMS, internet, and roaming) offered by mobile phone operators (CAMTEL, MTN Cameroon, ORANGE Cameroon, and VIETTEL Cameroon) to facilitate the selection of offers based on budget, communication needs, and contract duration.

These include the prepaid and postpaid offers listed below:

— Access offers for a new mobile phone subscription (SIM card purchase) and associated basic rates;

— Permanent offers and the various associated packages (voice, SMS, mobile internet, combined packages, and roaming) for all types of consumers;

— Internet offers via internet boxes.

This comparison tool is available free of charge in two (2) versions:

— the web version, accessible in a dedicated section of the ART website;

— the mobile version, for consumers with smartphones and tablets, downloadable from the ART website or from the Google Play Store and Apple Store.
Using the price comparison tool, consumers can simulate the prices of permanent retail offers, based on the service (voice calls, SMS, internet, bundled plan, roaming), the type of communication considered (on-net, offline, international, etc.), the budget or specific communication needs (number of minutes/SMS/MB), and the validity period, in order to make informed choices about offers and understand their activation methods (USSD code to activate, postpaid subscriptions to take out with operators, etc.). Regarding current promotional retail offers (voice calls, SMS, internet, mixed package, roaming), which are available for a limited time, subscribers can freely consult this category of offers on the websites of mobile phone operators.
