Watcher in the Dark turns familiar surroundings into a ghost-filled survival game. Watch the shadows, listen for each arrival and hold your nerve until 6:00 AM. Looking at a ghost can freeze it. Holding your stare can banish it. But every ghost has its own rules.
GHOSTS IN YOUR OWN ROOM
Use your camera and motion controls to look around your real surroundings. Take a few seconds to get your bearings before the first ghosts appear. Prefer to play without the camera? Enter the dark bedroom, with standing motion controls or sitting swipe controls.
NINE UNSETTLING CHARACTERS
Meet the Widow, the Boy, the Gentleman, the Veiled, the Shadow, the Doll, the Crawler, the Twins and the Clown. Learn their behaviour, recognise their sounds and discover the keepsakes behind their stories in your Journal.
TOOLS, KEEPSAKES AND SURVIVAL
Collect useful items, store tools in your inventory and use them when you need a moment to breathe. Banish ghosts, gather wisps and earn stars as the nights grow harder. Survive long enough to unlock the endless Nightmare challenge.
HALLOWEEN OUTSIDE
Front Porch brings the ghosts to a safe, stationary spot outdoors. Trick or Treat Walk is a continuous ghost hunt with occasional encounters, sweets to collect and six houses to pass. Location helps measure walking distance on your phone.
SOUND BUILT FOR THE SCARE
A low hum and heartbeat build the tension. Arrival cues, ghost cries and sudden screams help you hear the danger around you.
Free to play, with advertisements and an optional Remove Ads purchase. Remove Ads disables automatic interstitial ads; optional rewarded videos for One more chance remain available. No game account is required.
Contains horror themes, jump scares and flashing effects. Play in a clear, safe space. Stay aware of your surroundings outdoors and never look at the screen while crossing a road.
